Augusta KY is an Ohio River cruise port and town in Kentucky USA (Bracken County) with population around 1,200. The settlement (named after Virginia state's Augusta County) was founded in 1786 as a trading post, and incorporated in 1850.
Kentucky Route 8 (east-west highway between Francisville and South Portsmouth) runs through Augusta. Cincinnati OH is approx 42 mi (68 km) to the northwest. Maysville KY is approx 19 mi (31 km) to the southeast. The town's largest employer is Berry Global Inc (1967-founded manufacturer of plastic packaging products) that makes here plastic films.
