Baddeck NS is a port village in Nova Scotia, Canada (Victoria County) with population under 1,000. It is located on Cape Breton Island (Bras d'Or Lake's northern coast) and approx 50 mi (78 km) west of the province's capital city Sydney NS. Baddeck is also the County's shire town (administrative center).

As shire town, Baddeck is the Victoria County's service centre and has a fire department, primary school, public library, hospital, nursing home, government offices, a small airport. Bras d'Or Yacht Club (1904-founded) hosts annually the popular yachting event Regatta Week (since 1913). The Yacht Club is a branch of Royal Canadian Legion (1925-founded, non-profit veterans' organization).

Baddeck NS started to develop as a tourism destination since 1932 when was completed the Cabot Trail (highway and scenic roadway) with total length 185 mi (298 km) that loops around Cape Breton Island's northern tip. For tourists, the village provides 600+ hotel rooms (hotels, motels, guesthouses). Tourist attractions include Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site (managed by Parks Canada), Bell Bay Golf Club (1998-opened, 18-hole golf course), waterfront resort, bars, restaurants, shops. Historic (late-19th century)) buildings include Baddeck Post Office, Gilbert H. Grosvenor Hall (former post office), Victoria County Court House, St Peter's and St John's Anglican Church, St Mark's Masonic Lodge, Alexander Graham Bell's Beinn Bhreagh estate (approx 2 mi / 3 km southeast), Kidston Island Lighthouse (1912).

Annually (since 1997) in October is held the Celtic Colours International Festival themed on traditional Celtic music and features professional live performances. Since 1988 (each May) from Baddeck starts the Cabot Trail Relay Race - a 24-hour event (17 stages) in which participate ~70 teams with ~1200 runners.
