Bangaram Island is part of an atoll located in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, India. The island is located approx 2022 km (1256 mi) south of New Delhi, India. Bangaram Island is the atoll's biggest, with a total area of 0,6 km2 (0,24 mi2). The long pond in the island's center is fringed by coconut palms and screw palms. The Island has a small population of around 20 people.

Bangaram Island Resort was built on the east coast of the island and opened to tourism in 1974. However, the lack of flights made access to it very difficult. Tourism took off after Agatti Aerodrome on nearby Agatti island was commissioned. Regular commercial flights out of Cochin India were established.

Bangaram Island Resort had 60 cottages and was closed in 2011. The new Thinnakara is ownership to locals from Agatti. It offers numerous adventure activities, including snorkelling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing beside a calm lagoon, clear coral reef, and white sand beaches.
