Batsfjord is a port town and municipality in Norway's Finnmark county. Batsfjord Airport is a new and modern airport, situated outside Batsfjord village. Hurtigruten coastal express ferry has regularly scheduled visits to Batsfjord. Historically, there were other villages in the municipality, consequently abandoned over the years. These villages include Makkaur, Hamningberg, Hamna, Nordfjord, and Sandfjord.

The Church of Norway features one parish within the Batsfjord municipality. It is part of Varanger deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Halogaland. Batsfjord Church is the main church. There are two small chapels, as well, but they are used for special occasions since their location in uninhabited areas only used for summer cottages.
