Bronnoysund is a port town in Bronnoy municipality (Nordland county, Helgeland region, Norway. The settlement received town status in 2000 and has population around 5,000. As cruise port, Bronnoysund is usually visited by smaller- and medium-sized cruise ships visiting the Lofoten Islands.

Bronnoysund Airport serves the airlines Bristow Helicopters, CHC Norway (Helikopter Service) and Wideroe Flyveselskap. Helicopters link to the oil fields Skarv and Norne. Regularly scheduled flights (domestic-only) link to Bergen, Bodo, Oslo, Trondheim, Rorvik, Sandnessjoen, and Mo i Rana. The town is also linked to mainland Europe via E6 highway.

During season 2019, Port Bronnoysund handled a total of 15 cruise ship calls, mainly by Hurtigruten ships (operating as cruiseferries on the Bergen-Kirkenes Norwegian coastal route. Port's largest liner so far is Holland America's MS Koningsdam.

Following the Coronavirus crisis, in 2021 the port's schedule had listed 21 cruise ship calls.

In June 2020 was officially inaugurated downtown's Lille Bronnoya folkepark - an outdoor waterfront playground (facing the harbor) fitted with a rampline park, climbing sails (the largest are 8,5 m / 28 ft high), mini-Zipline, Tarzan Track (a mini-trail for hopping on tree stumps), Stage (for live performances and Rootsfestivalen/Roots Festival events), and the Scenic Bridge (7-m/23-ft above sea-level lookout point with benches) connecting to Stromsneset. For the "family park" project was contracted the company Implenia Norge AS, which started works in December 2018. The Park's total cost was ~NOK 30 million (Norwegian krone/~EUR 2,85M/USD 3,3M).

The city also offers bicycle tours (themed on nature and arts) and a picnic camping experience at Sauren Island (accessed via a ferryboat).

Smaller-sized ships (with max LOA length 150 m / 490 ft) berth in downtown Bronnoysund. Medium-sized vessels (with LOA length 240 m / 790 ft) dock at Gardsoys - quay located approx 2 km / 1,2 mi from downtown. Larger cruise liners anchor in the harbor and their passengers are transported to downtown's berth via ship's tender boats.

Bronnoysund is one of the ferry ports along the "Express Route" - Government-subsidized "Norwegian Coastal Express". This is a regularly scheduled passenger and cargo shipping service in Norway. The "ferry and cruise" itinerary is between two turnaround ports - Bergen (southmost) and Kirkenes (northmost). It connects a total of 34 ports, which are Norwegian communities without any road or air access.

Since January 2021, Norway's coastal ferry service is operated by two companies - Hurtigruten (7 ships) and Havila Shipping (4 ships). The Norwegian Government's annual subsidy for the ferry service is around USD 100 million.

The list of all ports along the northbound "Norwegian Coastal Express" itinerary includes Bergen (turnaround port), Alesund, Floro, Geiranger (Stranda), Maloy (Vagsoy), Molde, Torvik (Heroy, Leinoya Island), Kristiansund, Rorvik (Vikna), Trondheim, Bodo, Bronnoysund (Bronnoy), Nesna, Ornes (Meloy), Sandnessjoen (Alstahaug), Stamsund (Vestvagoy Island), Svolvaer (Vagan, Austvagoya Island), Trollfjorden (Hadsel), Finnsnes (Lenvik), Harstad (Hinnoya Island), Risoyhamn (Andoy Island), Skjervoy, Sortland (Langoya Island), Stokmarknes (Hadseloya Island), Tromso, Berlevag, Hammerfest, Honningsvag (Mageroya Island, Nordkapp / North Cape), Kjollefjord (Lebesby), Mehamn (Gamvik), Oksfjord (Loppa), Batsfjord, Vardo (Vardoya Island), Kirkenes (turnaround port).

The port receives daily visits by Hurtigruten ships cruising southbound (in the afternoon) and northbound (at night). During cruiseship calls, dockside the seaport provides 18 tour guides (12 English- and 6 German-speaking) and 20 tour busses by local operators.
