For the "family park" project was contracted the company Implenia Norge AS, which started works in December 2018. The Park's total cost was ~NOK 30 million (Norwegian krone/~EUR 2,85M/USD 3,3M).

The city also offers bicycle tours (themed on nature and arts) and a picnic camping experience at Sauren Island (accessed via a ferryboat).
