  Port Map

Casilda is a small Cuban port town and people's council ("consejo popular") of Trinidad municipality, Sancti Spiritus Province. Due to the presence of tourist beaches like Playa Ancon, Casilda is also a seaside resort.

This port was established in 1808 by Andres Valdes Pino, in the vicinity of Peralta farm. Casilda is located south of Trinidad (5 km / 3 ml) on the Caribbean coast, by the Gulf of Ana Maria. It is on the Casilda Bay, enclosed by Ancon Peninsula, on which are situated several Playa Ancon resort hotels. The town's main road is named Calle Real. Carretera a Ancon ("Paseo Agramonte") links it to the peninsula.

Casilda is the southern terminus of a railway line connecting Fomento and Placetas to Trinidad. This charming town has a small harbor, and is 4 km (2,5 ml) from Alberto Delgado Airport (serving Trinidad). At approx 5 km (3 ml) from the town lies the state highway Circuito Sur, linking Trinidad to Cienfuegos and Sancti Spiritus.
