Crisan is a Danube River Delta cruise port and village in Romania's Tulcea County. The county includes all 3 ports/villages - Caraorman, Crisan, and Mila 23.
Crisan is a small fishermen's village located between the Romanian riverports Tulcea and Sulina. This is the main stop-point for cruise ship passengers to explore Danube Delta's lakes and canals. The village has only a few houses (all lined up along river's right bank) and a fishery (on Danube's left bank). Crisan also offers private rental guestrooms and small B&Bs (bed and breakfast lodging). From the locals can be rented tour boats to cruise the Old Danube Canal to Caraorman or Mila 23. The Caraorman Forest is a protected nature reserve with lush trees surrounded by sandbanks.
As a cruise port, Crisan is included in the regular schedule of one of Europe's largest river cruise companies - CroisiEurope. The next table shows the ports sequence of CroisiEurope's 13-day itinerary between homeports Tulcea and Passau, with prices from ~USD 2500 per person (double occupancy rates).
