Duclair is a Seine River cruise port and a town in Haute-Normandie (Normandy) region in northern France. The small town covers a total area of 10 km2 (4 mi2) and has population of around 4,000. It is also a light industrial and farming town located approx 18 km (11 mi) west of Rouen downtown, and 128 km (80 mi) from Paris, at the junction of roads D43-D5-D982.
Austreberthe River joins Seine River at Duclair. The town is linked by ferry to the river's south bank. SNCF operates TER service, with a railway station located in the town. A duck species is called "le canard de Duclair" - black-colored, with a white bib.
Among Duclair's most popular attractions are the Saint-Denis (12th-century church), remains of the 13th-century church sanctuary, ruins of Chateau du Taillis (feudal castle, 17th-century chapel, 18th-century Chateau du Vaurouy, La Cour-du-Mont (13-century manor house). Pierre Villette (1926-98), French composer of instrumental and choral music, was born here.
