Enterprise Island Antarctica

Enterprise Island (aka Isla Lientur, and Isla Nansen Norte, translated as North Nansen Island) is located in Wilhelmina Bay (its northeast end), off Graham Land's west coast (Antarctica).

• The island is uninhabited, and has length of 2,8 km (1,5 ml).
• The Antarctic islands Enterprise and Nansen (to the southwest) were first charted in 1898 as one and named Ile Nansen (Nansen Island). They soon became well known to whaling ships in the region, anchoring at Foyn Harbour (on the island's southern coast). The names South Nansen and North Nansen were used to distinguish them. The name "Enterprise Island" was given to the smaller island.
