Eresfjord is a village located in Nesset (More og Romsdal county, Norway) with population around 500. It is located along Eira River, between Eresfjorden and lake Eikesdalsvatnet. Skjorta mountain is to the east. The village of Myklebostad is approx 17 km (11 mi) to the northwest through Vistdal valley. The village of Boggestranda is 10 km (6 mi) to the north.
From 1890 until 1964 when Eresfjord was merged back into Nesset, the village was the administrative center of former municipality Eresfjord og Vistdal. Sira Church that was opened in 1869, is the main for the area. Salmon fishing, tourism and agriculture are the main forms of income in the region. Eresfjord also features its own hatchery (created in 1956) providing salmon and sea trout to Eira River and Eikesdalsvatnet. The village of Eresfjord has a harbor for 33 boats and offers a guest harbor which in 2003 received a visit from the king. National Geographic Adventure acknowledged the village as having the most beautiful skiing terrain in the world.
