Ibiza Island is the largest of Spain's Pityusic Islands (the smaller one  is Formentera). The group also includes various small-sized isles, all of which are part of the Balearic Islands (Spanish autonomous territory).

  • The island's landscape features limestone hills and lush pine forests. It is often called the "White Island" because of the abundance of white-colored houses.
  • Ibiza Town's huge popularity as one of the top Mediterranean vacation destinations is due to locals' extrovert and exuberant personalities, friendly restaurants, premium boutiques, top-rated nightlife.
  • Ibiza Town also features a colourful harbour marked by the ancient citadel of the picturesque old town.
  • Pacha Ibiza is a superclub facing Ibiza Town, Its buidling resembles a farmhouse. It is owned by Pacha Group (Spanish holding company) and opened in 1973. Pacha is a lifestyle brand specializing in nightlife. On Ibiza Island, Pacha Group also entered the hospitality market with the El Hotel Pacha (in Ibiza Town),
  • Among the city's attractions are the Santa Maria d'Eivissa (14th century cathedral), the Punic necropolis and the Sacred Heart of Jesus statue (height 23 m / 75 ft) located approx 5 km (3 ml) north of the town.
  • The island's second largest tourist center is the town Sant Antoni de Portmany (aka San Antonio Abad) on the western coast. Among its top-rated for nightlife clubs is Es Paradis (since 1975).
  • On the island is the Ibiza Airport, which also serves seasonal international flights (mainly from Europe) during summer, and year-round domestic flights. The airport is located approx 7 km (4 ml) southwest of Ibiza Town. In 2016, the airport handled over 7,4 million passengers and 1831 tons of cargo with 72503 aircraft movements.
  • Public busses offer regular service between San Antonio Abad and Ibiza Town, leaving every 15 min (during summer season) and every 30 min (during off-season). Regular buses also connect San Antonio Abad with Cala Bassa, Cala Conta, Cala Tarida, and Ibiza Airport. Buses connect Ibiza Town with Platja d'en Bossa, Ses Salines, Santa Eularia, and Ibiza Airport.

Ibiza Island is served by ferries (to and from both Ibiza Town and San Antonio Abad) with daily scheduled departures during the summer season (May through September-October).

  • Once a week, there is a ferry service from San Antonio Abad to Formentera Island.
  • Ferries connect the island with mainland Spain (Barcelona, DeniaPalma (Majorca Island)Valencia).
  • Direct ferries to Ibiza are operated by the ferry lines Balearia, Mediterranea Pitiusa, Trasmapi, and Trasmediterranea.
