Isle of Noss is one of Scotland's Shetland Islands. Until 1900 inhabited, today it is a sheep farm (no permanent inhabitants) and since 1955 - a Scottish national nature reserve. Noss Island's main settlement (Gungstie) was established on the west coast. It was built in the 1670s and currently is used by seasonal wildlife wardens.

Attractions on Noss Island include a visitor centre, Pony Pund (farm for breeding Shetland ponies), the Holm of Noss rock and the Noup cliff. The island's sandstone cliffs have weathered into horizontal ledges making the best breeding grounds for seabirds, like puffins, gannets, guillemots, black-legged kittiwakes, razorbills, shags, great skuas, fulmars.
