Koh Muk Island Thailand
Cruise Port schedule, live map, terminals, news
Koh Muk Island (aka Koh Mook) belongs to Trang Provinces (southwestern Thailand) and is popular for its fascinating beaches. It is also popular for island hopping vacations together with the neighboring islands Kradan and Ngai. In the region are also located the more popular islands Phi Phi and Lanta.
Koh Mook is accessible mainly from Trang (Kuan Tung Ku Pier) via ferry (30-min ride to the island). During peak season (December-April) 3 ferries go to Koh Muk. The other (faster) option is a longtail tour boat.
Sivalai Beach (the island's most popular) is part of Sivalai Beach Resort. The other main tourist destination is Charlie Beach Resort, from which can be seen Kradan Island.
Emerald Cave (aka Morakot Cave) can be reached via boat but entered only during low tide. Baan Koh Mook is a small village with affordable restaurants and mini-markets. Accommodations on the island include mainly bungalows (fitted with beds, fan, mini-fridge, cold showers).
