Kom Ombo Temple is a Nile River cruise port and an Ancient Egyptian archaeological site located in Aswan Governorate (Upper Egypt). The temple is unique with its double design - all its buildings (courts, halls, sanctuaries, living rooms) are duplicated for two sets of gods.

The southern half was dedicated to God Sobek, while the northern part was dedicated to God Haroeris (Horus the Elder). Everything in the Kom Ombo Temple is perfectly symmetrical along its main axis.

The temple also had a specific theology consisting of two themes - universalist and local. Construction works were started by Ptolemy VI (180-145 BC). Much of the temple was destroyed by the river, earthquakes and later by builders using the stones for other buildings.
