Leirvik is a port town in Hordaland county (Norway), with total area approx 10 km2 (4 mi2) and population around 14,000. The town is located on the southern coast of Stord Island and along Hardangerfjorden.

The town is the regional center of Sunnhordland district, with many public offices, restaurants and shops, Stord Church, schools (including Haugesund University College). The town is served by European highway E39 passing east of Stord Bridge and connecting several islands to mainland Norway through road bridges and undersea tunnel.

There is a ferry port (quay) at Karavika (town's western part) offering regularly scheduled ferryboat connections to the islands Borgundoya, Halsnoya and Fjelbergoya (all to the east in Hardangerfjorden). Regular ferry service to Huglo Island (north of Leirvik) is available at Jektavik's quay.
