Libourne is a Dordogne River (Gironde River) cruise port and town in Gironde department (Aquitaine region, southwestern France). The town is located at the confluence of Isle and Dordogne rivers, and has population around 34,000.

Libourne is considered northern Gironde region's wine-making capital. It is located close to Bordeaux (approx 35 km / 22 ml by road, travel time around 45 min) and Saint-Emilion (31 km / 19 ml by road, travel time 30-40 min).

The Gothic church (restored in the 19th century) features a stone spire with height 71 m (232 ft). On the cruise ship quay is located town's most popular landmark - a machicolated clock-tower, part of 14th century built defensive walls. The town-house contains a library and small museum, and has 16th century relics. It is located by Place Abel Surchamp (main square) that hosts every weekend one of region's largest fresh food markets.
