Narsarsuaq is a port town in Kujalleq (southern Greenland), with population under 200. Tourism industry is thriving, with attractions including airfield museum, gemstones, wildlife and boat tours, glacier hiking tours.
Narsarsuaq has a deep-water port where boats and cruise ships can dock / moor. The port is approx 2,5 km (1,5 mi) south of the terminal building. Bus transfers for cruise tourists are provided. A 26 km (16 mi) long gravel road connects Narsarsuaq with Qassiarsuk (around the fjord). Regularly scheduled boat service to Qaqortoq is also available.
In close proximity to Narsarsuaq Airport is located Arboretum Groenlandicum - an unique for the Arctic botanical garden with live bushes and trees. Established in 1988, the garden encompasses 15 hectares of land and has over 50,000 trees (110 different plants, trees and bushes).
