Newhaven is a small town and cruiseferry port in East Sussex (England UK). Besides cruise port, Newhaven is also homeport for regularly scheduled English Channel crossings to France (Dieppe). The service is provided by DFDS SEAWAYS, with 4 daily ferry crossings (travel time is ~4 hours) 28 crossings per week.

Newhaven Harbour is located at Ouse River's mouth. The Port (locode GBNHV) became railway-connected in 1847, since when train-ferry operations were greatly developed. In 1882, the area was officially named "Port of Newhaven".

The route Newhaven-Dieppe is currently served by 2 ferries (Cote DAlbatre, Seven Sisters) with 2 outbound crossings per day (in the morning and in the evening). From Dieppe ferry port can be easily accessed many popular tourist destinations in Normandy (northern France), among which are the large port cities Rouen and Caen and Normandy's D-Day Landing Beaches (historic sites). Dieppe is also close to Paris City (2 hours drive distance).
