Pak Ou Caves (Laos)

Pak Ou Caves (Tham Ting / lower, and Tham Theung / upper) are two caves overlooking the Mekong River in Laos. Inside the lower (Tham Ting) cave there are Buddha statues.

The caves are located approx 25 km (15 mi) to the north of Luang Prabang (approx 2 hours upstream travel from Luang Prabang). The caves are best known for their numerous Buddha statues and wooden Buddhist figures.
