Pocinho is a Douro River cruise port and village in Vila Nova de Foz Coa (Guarda, Portugal), and close to Pocinho Dam. Passengers can explore the valley and visit Coa Valley Museum or canoe on Sabor River.
Pocinho railway stationis the eastern terminus of Douro railway line (opened in 1887). Formerly, the railway continued eastwards into Spain. However, it closed in 1988. The narrow gauge railway (Sabor line, length approx 100 km / 60 ml) used to run northeast from Pocinho to Duas Igrejas (close to Miranda do Douro). Sabor line was closed in 1988.

Pocinho Dam (Barragem do Pocinho) is a concrete dam on Douro River, with height 49 m (160 ft) and length 430 m (1410 ft). Dam's construction started in 1974 and was completed in 1982. Dam's water volume is 120,000 m3, with max discharge 15,000 m3. The hydroelectric power plant built on the dam has nominal capacity 186 MW and average generation between 410-534 GWh. On the dam's right side there is a lock that can handle boats (and cruise ships) with max LOA length 83 m (272 ft), max width 11,4 m and max draught 3,8 m.
