Pont-l'Eveque is an Oise River/Seine cruise port and a small village (population under 1,000) located approx 110 km (70 mi) north of Paris (road distance/via highway A1 Autoroute). Pont-l'Eveque is in France's Oise department (Hauts-de-France region) and on the confluence of two artificial waterways - Canal du Nord (to the west) and Canal lateral a l'Oise (to the south). Curiously, the village has a namesake in France's Calvados department (Normandy region).

The Oise Canal runs in parallel/along the Oise River (to the south) and has length 34 km (21 mi). The waterway was opened in 1831 and has 4 locks, each with length 39 m/128 ft and width 6,5 m/21 ft. The lock limitations make Pont-l'Eveque Oise a "barge cruise" destination accessible only via luxury hotel barges and not standard riverboats.

At Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, the Oise Canal connects to the Seine River, and at Chauny it connects to Canal de Saint-Quentin (connecting to Escaut/Scheldt River) which runs through Belgium and Holland all the way to the North Sea/Baltic Sea.

Oise River originates in Belgium (Hainaut Province), it has length approx 340 km (212 mi) and crosses the Belgium-France border after ~20 km (12 mi). Oise River flows into the Seine at Paris City's suburb Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.

As cruise port, Pont-l'Eveque Oise was introduced by CroisiEurope in 2023 as part of the Raymonde barge's schedule.

Next table shows the ship's 6-night/7-day itinerary "The Oise Valley" (northbound and southbound routes) running between Paris City and Pont-lEveque.

Noyon (population around 13,000) is on the Oise River and is located approx 95 km/60 mi northeast from Paris. Two barge canals (Oise and Canal du Nord) pass through Noyon and regularly scheduled trains (TER Hauts-de-France railway network) connect to Creil, Saint-Quentin, Compiegne and the capital Paris.
