Poulsbo WA is a port town on Liberty Bay (Kitsap County, Washington USA), with population around 9,000.

Prior to 1880s (the arrival of Scandinavian migrants, Suquamish Tribe occupied villages on Liberty Bay's shoreline. In 1855, after signing the Treaty of Point Elliott, most Suquamish were relocated to Port Madison Indian Reservation. After stablishing the town, supplies were initially brought from Seattle WA by rowboats, and later by steamboats. Until mid-20th century, Poulsbo and other locations along Puget Sound and Liberty Bay were served by the "Mosquito Fleet" of steamboats, carrying cargo and passengers and delivering agricultural produce to Seattle.

As a reminder of its Scandinavian history, the downtown still maintains a Scandinavian theme. One of the local products, now available worldwide, is Poulsbo Bread, made originally in local bakeries only. Most tourists arrive here by boats. Poulsbo has 3 marinas and a harbor used as anchorage for larger ships.
