Tournus is a Saone River cruise port and town in Saone-et-Loire department (Bourgogne region, eastern France). The town is approx 20 km (12 mi) northeast of Macon on Paris-Lyon railway (high-speed TGV trains). Tournus has total area approx 25 km2 (10 mi2) and population around 7,000.

Saint Philibert church (early-11th century) once belonged to a Benedictine abbey (suppressed in 1785). The facade lacks one of its two flanking towers. Roofed with barrel vaulting, its nave is supported by cylindrical columns. A statue of Jean-Baptiste Greuze (born here in 1725) stands in Place de l'Hôtel de Ville.

Tournus is an important tourist destination, featuring one 4-star hotel (Greuze), one 3-star hotel (Rempart), 4 restaurants served by Michelin star chefs (Greuze, Aux Terasses, Meulien, Quartier Gourmand), fine vineyards (in the surrounding area), river port (serving significant commerce in wine and stone from neighboring quarries). Chairmaking is a major industry. At Groupe SEB factory are manufactured a considerable quantity of domestic appliances. Cookware is manufactured at Tefal factory. Every Saturday, the town holds an outdoor market.

On cruise shore excursions/bus tours from Tournus is visited Chateau de Cormatin (17th-century castle).
