Traben-Trarbach is a Moselle River cruise port and town in Germany's Rhineland-Palatinate state (Bernkastel-Wittlich district) with population around 6,000. The town is located approx 40 km (25 mi) northeast of Trier and approx 60 km (40 mi) southwest of Koblenz. The international Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is approx 10 km (6 mi) to the east.
The current-day town includes two former small towns - Traben (on the river's left bank) and Trarbach (on Moselle's right bank). The local economy is heavily based on viticulture (winegrowing) and tourism.
