Vernon is a Seine River cruise port and town in Eure department (Haute-Normandie region, northern France), with population around 25,000.

The town is located about midway between Rouen and Paris. It is well known for the aircraft engines constructed here by Safran (fka Snecma). In early-11th century, the town (named Vernum) was first mentioned in a written document.
