Vylkove (aka Vilkovo) is a Danube River cruise port and town in Ukraine's Danube Delta region, with population around 9,000. Vilkovo is located on the Ukraine-Romania border and part of Odessa region (Kiliya district).
The settlement was founded in mid-18th-century (1746) and received town rights in 1762. Town's economy is based mainly on commercial fishing (Danube Delta's lakes and Black Sea), as well as on viticulture (winegrowing), strawberries cultivation (on delta's islands) and tourism (leisure boating).
As cruise port, Vylkove is also included in the regular schedule of the chartered by Imperial River Cruises MS Dnieper Princess (1967-built Russian passenger ship "Project 301").
