Wertheim am Main is a Main River cruise port and town in Germany's Baden-Wurttemberg state (Main-Tauber-Kreis district) with population around 23,000. It is located on the confluence of two rivers (Tauber and Main) and is best known for its medieval downtown and the Burg Wertheim castle. Popular among tourists annual events include summer festival (Altstadtfest) during July's last 3 days, followed by the medieval festival at the castle and Wertheimer Messe (Oktoberfest-like event).

The medieval Old Town Wertheim with its small streets and half-timbered houses is Wertheim's most visited part. The Gothic Stiftskirche (today Protestant church) was built in late-14th century. Two clocks can be seen on town's clock tower, the one featuring only an hour hand (for castle's residents). The Gothic chapel Kilianskapelle was constructed in 15th century. Engelsbrunnen (built 16th century) was counstructed of red sandstone and derives its name from two little angels holding town's coat of arms.

Other tourist attractions include Kittsteintor (flood market since 1595) and Blaues Haus ("Blue house"). Not far from Wertheim is Bronnbach Abbey (Kloster Bronnbach), founded in 1150.
