Ybbs an der Donau is a Danube River cruise port and town in Austria, with a population of around 6,000. The settlement was established in the Middle Ages (1317 AD) at the intersection of important shipping trade routes along the river.
Ybbs-Persenbeug Power Station is Austria's first river-run power plant. In the period 1907-1953, the town was connected with Kemmelbach's Westbahn (train station) via Ybbser Highway - one of the world's shortest tramway lines (length 3 km / 2 mi).
As a cruise port, Ybbs Austria was included in the 2019 schedule of Nicko Cruises' newest riverboat - nickoVISION (launched 2018, shipowner Scylla AG). The next table shows the 7-day itinerary's call ports with arrival/departure times. Prices started at USD 1000 pp (double occupancy).
