Belmond Lilas barge

Belmond Lilas barge was launched in 2017 summer. Cruise itineraries are along France's rivers and canals throughout Champagne and Alsace regions. The 6-night itinerary offers unique "food and wine" themed events, including private visits to family-owned breweries, vineyards, and Chateaux. Cruising with Belmond in France always provides stylish travel, an escape from everyday life and a chance to savor the moment while sailing through the French countryside.

On the Canal de la Marne au Rhin itinerary (through Alsace region), Belmond Lilas passes forests with pine trees and castle ruins on isolated hilltops between Strasbourg and Arzviller. Along the canal, barge's passengers can visit small towns and picturesque villages, including Saverne and Lutzelbourg, before exploring Strasbourg - Alsace's culinary capital and the itinerary's highlight.

The new Lilas barge is inspired by Biophilia, design approach bringing the outside world into interior space. The riverboat is designed to reflect the tones of the flower (Lilac) it represents. The barge has an open deck evoking the sense of a floating garden, with a swimming pool surrounded by potted plants and handmade furniture. Accommodating just 8 passengers in 4 cabins, the ship offers an intimate experience with exclusive personal service.
