Review of La Nouvelle Etoile barge
Relaunched in 2002, MS La Nouvelle Etoile barge is an 8-passenger hotel barge (cruise ship) owned by European Waterways. Originally, the vessel was constructed (launched in 1964) and operated as cargo barge for drybulk cargo shipping. The hotel barge cruises on the waterways and canals of France, Germany, Holland and Luxembourg.
This cruise ship is an ultra-deluxe hotel barge with spacious cabins, modern facilities and traditional elegance, superior service provided by professional crew and staff. Shipboard facilities and amenities include an air-conditioned, teak-floored dining room / bar saloon (with piano and comfortable furniture), Sun Deck (with hot tub, sun loungers, deckchairs), Gym (exercise room), 8 bicycles, internet access (shipwide).
The air-conditioned cabins are equally-sized (19 m2 / 200 ft2) and fitted with HDTV (satellite reception), en-suite bathrooms (with double-sink vanities), double bed, seating area. The ship's crew of only 5 is comprised of Master Chef, two Housekeepers, Tour Guide, and Captain (Master).
