RV Lan Diep Review
Review of RV Lan Diep
RV Lan Diep ship cruises on Mekong River and along Mekong Delta (in Vietnam and Cambodia). Ship's itineraries are 15-day and on the route between homeports Ho Chi Minh City / Saigon (Vietnam) and Siem Reap (Cambodia). Both (northbound and southbound) itineraries feature Mekong Delta and Tonle Sap Lake cruising.
The riverboat Landiep was built in Vietnam and features colonial-style interior and the traditional for Mekong cruiser ship design using as main construction material Asian tropical fine timbers. Boat's steel hull is also embedded in wood. Like the sisterships (Indochine 1 and Indochine 2), Landiep offers premium comfort and ultimate safety. Due to boat's low draft (only 1,8 m / 6 ft), the vessel is perfectly suited for Mekong cruises. Its interior is and looks very tasteful and cosy.
As being one of the best deluxe cruisers on the Mekong River, RV Lan Diep is the flagship of Compagnie Fluviale du Mekong’s (CFM). The riverboat is chartered by the German travel company Phoenix Reisen (established 1973). Phoenix Reisen is a travel agency with ocean ship chartering business (since 1988) and river cruise shipping operations (since 1993).
