Treasure of Galapagos is a motor catamaran cruise ship which operates cruises in the Galapagos Islands since 2009. This unique yacht deals are way beyond traditional cruising and allow a truly intimate vacation travel experience with a maximum of 16 passengers. Exclusively chartered by Avalon Waterways, Treasure of Galapagos ship features spacious suites (each with private balcony) and takes passengers around the archipelago to explore region's natural wonders in privacy and comfort.
Cabins
Each of the catamaran's 9 suites is outside and with a private veranda - the rarest feature for a Galapagos-based cruise ship. Each stateroom offers as amenities lounge area (electronic safe, mini-bar, closet / wardrobe, mirrored vanity table / writing desk with chair), air-conditioning, flat TV, DVD, satellite phone, in-cabin bathroom ( full shower, bath products, hairdryer, towels, robes), sleeping area (2 twin beds, bedside tables with reading lights, under-bed luggage storage), individual air-conditioning. The boat's largest accommodation - the 430 ft2 / 40 m2) sized Master Suite (forward on Deck 1) - has 2 private balconies, a separate living area, separate bedroom (1 King bed).
Shipboard facilities
Completely refurbished in October 2017, the vessel is built to luxury cruising standards and provides an elegant, yet relaxed onboard atmosphere. The ship's resident expert Naturalist and all the crew share their passion for nature and conservation of this amazing part of the world.
The non-smoking ship interior features elegantly appointed public spaces, including an indoor bar lounge, shaded outdoor lounge, separate dining area, sun deck (with outdoor Jacuzzi), as well as an observation deck area for whale or dolphin watching.
Onboard menus offer the very best of international cuisine and also delicious traditional Ecuadorian dishes. The yacht has a spacious, open-seating dining room operated with single-sitting at mealtimes. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are buffet-style, with free flow (complimentary) house wine served at dinner. The ship's upscale bar serves premium spirits.
